I was so excited when Elizabeth from Bridal Bliss invited me to take part in a styled shoot for Portland Bride & Groom Magazine. The overall look to achieve was "Winter wonderland meets Ralph Lauren". Think warm, cozy, hot chocolate, tartan, whites & creams. They chose a blackwatch plaid pattern that instantly made my happy– it was the pattern of my grade school uniform and totally has a special place in my heart. My husband, our siblings, and some of my very best friends attended that school together, so reminders like this stir up plenty of wonderful memories! Also? It's so preppy and fun, and I haven't used plaid in a design in a long time. Last year, I worked on a super cool photoshoot with the lovely Stephanie Major of Petalos. The ideas this woman comes up with always amaze me, so when she simply told me the theme of the shoot she was planning– plaid and leather– I asked no questions and was totally on board. It was already an exciting shoot, but then she asked my younger sister and her boyfriend to model. Even better! The list of amazing professionals involved is below the photos (shot by another amazing talent, Bryan Rupp Photography). To see the full feature on Style Me Pretty, go here!
