Many thanks to Liz for this great review! I LOVED this couple and their paper goods. Professional photos thanks to Alison Yin Photography. "I was referred to Paper Bloom Studio by a colleague who worked with Lindsay and raved about how great she was to work with when creating her wedding invitations. When it came time for my husband and I start the invitation design processes for our October 2014 wedding I contacted Lindsay and we hit it off from the beginning.
Going the extra mile is something that Lindsay demonstrated throughout the entire process. From our first phone conversation which ended in her rushing to catch the mail service before the days pick-up so I could get some hard copy samples in the mail to ALWAYS sending proofs for review well before the promised delivery time, Lindsay far exceeds expectations. On top of being super professional and prompt, she is a great talent. She designed our entire invitation suite (invite, program, menu, escort cards) and I can truly say her design became the basis for our floral and wedding décor. We received endless compliments on our invite and while we went through a handful of revisions to get the perfect design, Lindsay remained patient and offered great advice and feedback every step of the way. The end result on all accounts resulted in a classy and festive invitation suite that was a true reflection of my husband and me. I also heard the invitation was “very you” which is a tremendous compliment to Lindsay in that she was able to create something that captured us so well! As a wedding gift, my sister gave us a framed copy of our invite and it is a memory that we will cherish forever. Thank you, Lindsay!" -Liz & Dan

I was so excited when Elizabeth from Bridal Bliss invited me to take part in a styled shoot for Portland Bride & Groom Magazine. The overall look to achieve was "Winter wonderland meets Ralph Lauren". Think warm, cozy, hot chocolate, tartan, whites & creams. They chose a blackwatch plaid pattern that instantly made my happy– it was the pattern of my grade school uniform and totally has a special place in my heart. My husband, our siblings, and some of my very best friends attended that school together, so reminders like this stir up plenty of wonderful memories! Also? It's so preppy and fun, and I haven't used plaid in a design in a long time. See more of this shoot here: http://portlandbrideandgroom.com/2014/12/reception-style-wine-spirit/ (and of course you can see it in print if you pick up the latest issue of the magazine!) Just a few sneak peeks from this summers' events. It's been a busy season and I hope to post more photos and details soon! Be sure to follow me in Instagram for the latest: http://instagram.com/paperbloomstudio
"Super glam, super clean. Gold, mint and blush." Yes, please! Alex at Luxe Event Productions was speaking my language when he explained the overall concept for a Spring styled shoot taking place at Union/Pine. I had been in love with that color palette and had some gorgeous papers in the perfect shades that I knew would photograph really well. I love so many things about styled shoots but my favorite is that I get to try new things and test out interesting layouts and concepts that could potentially work for a future couple. Lane' at Something Borrowed contacted me about providing paper goods for an "elegant garden" styled shoot– she was going for an elegant, timeless and classic look with more neutral/earthy colors (navy, cream, some gold and brown). I had recently been researching vintage botanical prints for a client, and thought that would be a fun way to incorporate some color but still keeping the overall feel neutral by adding a wood engraved overlay. Annie (the bride) had so many great ideas and a perfect vision for what she wanted, and because of that I got to work with Jenna from Mon Voir who did all the amazing calligraphy, and Kevin of Advantage Letterpress who printed them all. HUGE thanks to Jennifer from Perfect Planning, and of course Lacie Hansen for providing me with these gorgeous images!! And to Annie for letting me share them :) You can see more from their wedding in the latest issue of Portland Bride & Groom Magazine.
In honor of this great day in Oregon, I wanted to share our dear friends wedding invitations from a few summers ago. When the grooms told me the plan to incorporate inspiration from their favorite movie, Amélie, into their wedding, a lovely image popped into my head– the garden gnome!! The invitation was an accordion fold complete with a gnome silhouette and their amazing engagement photos (taken by Brandon Witzel), and closed between two wood engraved coasters (how fun when the invitation can be used by guests?!) The invitation set, bound in blue satin ribbon, sat upon a bed of wood excelsior, and was enclosed and shipped in a square box. Not only did I have the great honor of designing their wedding invitations, but was also a participant in the ceremony.
It was a gorgeous August day under beautiful trees in a secluded hazelnut orchard in Aurora, Oregon. The ceremony was so well-written, meaningful, and full of love. This lovely, fun bunch of people below were so happy to participate in the wedding of two incredible people! Thanks W+M for inviting John and I play such an important role in your amazing wedding. I was so happy to participate in this Radiant Orchid themed shoot put together by Jessica from Bash! Weddings & Events. It was featured on one of my favorite blogs, Style Unveiled, on Valentine's Day. See the full feature here, and check out some of my favorite shots below. Thanks to Paul Rich Studio for all the lovely shots!!
